About the role  

As a Payroll Specialist you will be a part of the Payroll team located in Malmö.  Together with your team, you are responsible for ensuring that payroll is accurate, timely and compliant with local laws and regulations throughout our markets. Espresso House is currently established in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland, and your primary focus will be on Sweden, and preferably Norwegian.

Location: Malmö  

Key responsibilities include:  

• Take full ownership of the end-to-end payroll process
• Review and consolidate time reports; calculate salaries, overtime, vacation pay, and other compensations
• Manage administration related to time reporting, travel expense claims, pensions, insurances, and employee benefits
• Serve as the main point of contact for payroll system providers
• Interpret and ensure compliance with collective agreements and labor laws
• Prepare and submit reports and documentation to relevant authorities
• Provide guidance and support on payroll-related matters to managers and employees

What we are looking for:  

• Relevant education within Payroll or similar
• Work related experience within, payroll at least 2-3 years
• Hands on experience in Payroll related systems. Meritorious if you have worked in SD Works, Quinyx, Skovik and Sympa
• Fluent in Swedish and English
• Knowledge of payroll and tax legislation in Sweden, and beneficially Norway
• Strong stakeholder collaboration skills
• A structured and organized approach to work
• Solution orientated
• A collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally
